THE 2026 HOLIDAY GUIDE

Holiday lights & Christmas events in the River Valley

A night looking at lights doesn't need to turn into a long trip. Van Buren has two park displays on the calendar, Greenwood's fairgrounds open Thanksgiving weekend, and Fort Smith's Christmas Winter Wonderland has a set of afternoon and evening visits to choose from.

Before you go

Check the specific day. A season's opening and closing dates don't mean every night is open. Winter Wonderland and the regional ticketed displays have selected dates.

Check the latest weather and organizer update before leaving. A display being open doesn't guarantee that roads or walking surfaces are safe.

Look at the final ticket total. Booking fees, optional activities and food may be separate from admission.

If step-free access, accessible seating or a particular walking surface matters for your visit, ask the venue about that specific need before booking.

For parades, check the current route and street closures before picking a parking spot.
